The J-21R takes up the characteristic lines of the historic Buco J-21: asymmetric fastening, motorcycle collar, D-Pocket, Coin Pocket, shoulder panels and action pleats at the back. A construction built for the road, faithful to the codes of the American motorcycle jacket as it established itself in the 1940s and 1950s. The Cow Vintage leather chosen for this model - a cowhide with a specific finish, 0.8 to 0.9 mm thick - delivers a pronounced visual depth and a subtle satin sheen. In cognac, this material reveals its most luminous side: a golden caramel tone, warm and direct, that catches the light and brings out the grain of the leather with an intensity that darker colourways simply cannot match. The Dull Silver metal hardware stands out clearly against it - a pronounced contrast, without overpowering.

The D-Pocket, an angled zip pocket on the chest, is one of the most consistent markers of the Buco range: it comes directly from American work jackets and has never left the model. At the back, the Pillion / Map Pockets - two zip openings inherited from the original constructions - originally served a dual purpose: carrying a road map flat against the back, and allowing the pillion passenger to slip their hands inside the jacket to keep warm while riding. The Buegeleisen Company was founded in Detroit in 1933 by Joseph Buegeleisen - Buco is the contraction of the name. Originally a motorcycle accessories manufacturer, the brand began producing leather jackets in the 1940s, made entirely in-house. Within a decade, it established itself as the essential reference of the American motorcycle jacket. Its models equipped generations of riders, flat-track and drag strip racers, before becoming sought-after collector's pieces worldwide.
