Men's Mauritius GBDerry LAORV COGNAC
€199,90
The cognac finish on this GBDerry has a glossy surface treatment: light glides across the panels instead of being absorbed, and the shade shifts from one area to another—lighter along the edges of the collar and shoulders, denser in the hollows and folds. On a medium brown, this effect replaces the textural work found on grained leather. It is the finish that defines the model, rather than an added construction detail. Such a treatment requires an even hide from one panel to the next, since the slightest surface irregularity would stand out beneath the gloss.
The front features four zipped pockets—two on the chest and two at hand level—and a straight central zip that rises to the collar. Nothing opens with a flap or snap, making each pocket usable while moving and accessible with the jacket closed. The stand-up collar can be kept raised with a snap tab, or folded down to open up the neckline. This fully zipped design comes from track jackets, where an open pocket would empty at the first acceleration, and it remains the model's strongest practical feature.
The length stops at the waist and leaves the legs unobstructed, giving the cognac color a concentrated surface on the torso rather than spreading it across the full height of the body. The shade stands out against cool bases—raw denim, heather grey, off-white—and instead fades beside a neighboring brown. The soft, lightweight lambskin allows the jacket to drape properly from the very first wear. Zipped up to the collar, it tightens the silhouette and concentrates the color further; worn open, it reveals the upper part of the outfit and breaks up the expanse of brown.
Founded in 1972 by Jürgen Raberg, the company built its identity around a single craft—leather clothing—which it never abandoned in order to diversify. Long known as Gipsy, it adopted the name Mauritius for its fiftieth anniversary, bringing its collections together under a common identity. Today, its lines are distributed in more than fifty countries under the direction of Katrin and Christian Raberg. Alongside the main line, the brand develops 2.0 by Mauritius, focused on leathers and textiles with a streetwear influence.
This product is made of lambskin. It is the most supple skin among the different types of leather. It is fine, soft and light, and is very easy to maintain!
The only maintenance necessary is waterproofing the material, this should be planned before the first wear of your product and regularly following the frequency with which you wear the product (if you wear it every day in rainy weather, you can repeat it up to once every one to two weeks).
You can also use a delicate neutral cream or color to nourish and revive your leather.

In all cases, remember to always test the application of a maintenance product on a non-visible surface of your product. Certain finishes or leather treatments may react differently from one product to another.
