Embroidery placed where it moves

Coraschon does not scatter its motifs: it concentrates them on the sleeves and along the bottom of the jacket, in other words, on the areas that move the most when walking. The embroidery, in beige and ecru tones, runs in continuous bands rather than isolated motifs, creating a horizontal rhythm where the biker construction imposes diagonals. The contrast between the light thread and the black leather is bold and deliberate, and it is what gives the piece its character.

A piece that does not share the spotlight

With such a high level of decoration, the rest of the outfit benefits from staying plain: raw denim, black trousers, a simple dress, plain knitwear. Worn open, the piece displays the embroidery on either side of the front and lets it frame the bust; when closed, it concentrates the motif on the sleeves and hem. The soft, lightweight lambskin prevents the density of the thread from stiffening the embroidered areas, which remain flexible with movement.

Two generations, one craft

Founded in 1972 by Jürgen Raberg, the company now known as Mauritius was built solely around leather clothing. It was known as Gipsy until its fiftieth anniversary, which led to the change of name. Katrin and Christian Raberg, his children, manage the company and continue its international development. Today, the company offers several lines, including 2.0 by Mauritius and deercraft, dedicated to larger sizes.
