Two garments depending on whether the hood is attached or not
The Hiran is built around a system: a black jersey hood, placed under the stand-up collar, which can be completely detached. When attached, it brings the softness of knit fabric into contact with the neck and gives the garment a more casual feel, close to a sweatshirt. Once removed, it becomes a strictly biker-style jacket, with the collar closed by a snap button and no trace of the system. This is not an accessory added afterwards but the very principle of the model, doubling the garment's versatility without changing its construction.
A washed grey, never uniform
The leather is treated to lighten the edges, shoulders and creases, creating an irregular grey that is deeper than a flat-applied shade. Each piece has its own variations, since the treatment is applied to a natural hide. The advantage becomes apparent with wear: everyday marks blend into the existing contrasts instead of revealing the jacket's age, making this finish particularly forgiving on a garment worn frequently.
A slim fit, close to the body
The jacket is cut close-fitting, making it suitable for a T-shirt, a lightweight shirt or a light sweatshirt rather than thick knitwear, which would weigh down its line. The adjustment tabs at the hem further tighten the silhouette around the hips, or can be loosened to let the garment fall straight. The supple, lightweight lambskin makes this cut practical: on a rigid hide, a jacket this close to the body would restrict arm movement.
The Mauritius brand
Founded in 1972 by Jürgen Raberg, the company was built around a single trade—leather clothing—which it has never abandoned to diversify. Long known as Gipsy, it adopted the name Mauritius for its fiftieth anniversary, bringing its collections together under a shared identity. This product is made of lambskin. It is the most supple skin among the different types of leather. It is fine, soft and light, and is very easy to maintain!
The only maintenance necessary is waterproofing the material, this should be planned before the first wear of your product and regularly following the frequency with which you wear the product (if you wear it every day in rainy weather, you can repeat it up to once every one to two weeks).
