Studs that follow the construction

The Noelle places its studs on the lapels and along the front, exactly on the lines already drawn by the pattern. The studs therefore do not cover the surface; they underline it. In everyday wear, the difference from full studding is considerable: the piece remains striking while preserving the clarity of its cut, and it can be worn in settings where a fully studded jacket would be too much. The balance is what makes this design appealing.

An asymmetrical zip base

Offset side zip, notched lapels, short length ending at the waist: the construction is that of the classic biker jacket. The adjustment tabs at the bottom allow the line to be adjusted at the hips — tightened, they close in the silhouette; loosened, they let the jacket fall straight. On a piece where the studs already draw the eye toward the front, this bottom adjustment is what helps balance the proportions.

A piece that calls for a simple outfit

The studs catch the light and create a pattern of their own: the rest of the outfit benefits from remaining plain — raw denim, black trousers, a simple top. Worn open, the jacket highlights the studded lapels framing the torso; closed, it aligns the studs along the vertical front. The soft, lightweight lamb leather offsets the extra weight of the metal and allows the lapels to fold back naturally, rather than remaining stiff as they would on a thicker hide.

Fifty years of leather under two names

Mauritius is the direct successor to Raberg Ledermoden, founded in 1972 by Jürgen Raberg, which later became Gipsy. The change to the name Mauritius, decided for the company's fiftieth anniversary, unified collections previously distributed across several labels. Katrin and Christian Raberg, the second generation, run a company that has never produced anything other than leather clothing. Its designs are recognizable by their clean lines, with the focus placed on the cut and finishes rather than ornamentation.
