Schott’s LCW1637 is the feminine counterpart to the legendary Perfecto, distilled into a cleaner, sharper silhouette. Cut from full-grain cowhide with a natural gloss, it keeps every rebellious detail that made the original a counter-culture staple: the snap-button shoulder straps stamped with twin stars, the snap-fastened waist belt, and the signature Schott snaps that run from collar to cuff. A ticket pocket tucked under the collar and three zippered side pockets add practicality without clutter, while underarm zips let you adjust the fit on the fly. The straight, slightly cropped cut flatters without fuss, making it as easy to pair with a slim knit and ankle boots as with a graphic tee and ripped jeans.

The leather here is a medium-weight cowhide, supple enough to drape naturally yet sturdy enough to develop a rich patina over time. Its smooth, glossy surface catches the light with every movement, and the Leather Working Group certification guarantees responsible sourcing. Because it’s not lined, the jacket breathes easily in transitional weather yet still blocks wind and light rain—ideal for city commutes or festival weekends.
While the production has moved overseas, the DNA remains pure Schott: every snap, zip and stitch is placed with the same precision that defined the brand’s Brooklyn workshops in the 1920s. Schott began in 1928 when brothers Irving and Jack Schott sewed raincoats in a tiny Manhattan loft. By 1929 they had created the first-ever zippered motorcycle jacket, and in 1947 the Perfecto 618—later immortalised by Marlon Brando in The Wild One—was born. Today the brand remains family-owned, still producing every jacket in limited runs to preserve the quality manufacturing that turned workwear into legend.

Caring for your leather
This product is made of cowhide leather. Whether thick and heavy or thin and light, cowhide is one of the most resistant.
Its maintenance simply involves using a cleansing milk or a delicate cream.
You will also need, as with the vast majority of leathers, to waterproof your leather once every 6 months, or more depending on its use, using a special leather aerosol product.
