Product Description
A “Top Hook” flight jacket
The TGV 3 takes the design codes of the G-1 flight jacket and reinterprets them in brown with embroidered patches. Its fitted silhouette and removable genuine sheepskin collar give the piece the look of a flight jacket, while the patches immediately establish its aviation identity.
Goat leather and embroidered details
The goat leather has a vintage appearance: its nuanced surface enhances the worn-in character of the brown. The patches are embroidered and then sewn onto the jacket rather than printed; they thus become a visible part of its construction. A removable badge on the chest can be personalized, a nod to the nameplates associated with the world of pilots.
The genuine sheepskin collar can be removed to visually lighten the upper part of the jacket and alter its look. With the collar in place, it highlights the flight-inspired design; without it, the silhouette appears more understated. The ribbed-knit cuffs and hem tighten the silhouette and define the waist, in the spirit of flight jackets.
The spirit of the “Top Hook”
The model’s name refers to the “Top Hook”, a title awarded to the pilot with the highest evaluation for carrier landings within their squadron. The jacket conveys this reference through an aviation wardrobe vocabulary: brown leather, patches and a removable collar, in a contemporary interpretation of the G-1.
The Top Gun brand was founded in Queens, New York, in 1996, around flight jackets inspired by American aviation heritage. Its world later expanded to clothing and accessories marked by the codes of military aviation.

Caring for your leather
This product is made of goat leather. Stiffer and more resistant than lamb or sheep, goatskin has the particularity of having a more or less grainy texture.
However, goat leather remains very simple to maintain. A simple waterproofing product and a cleansing milk will be more than enough. You can find these products by clicking here.
For the most rigorous, a bristle brush can be useful to remove certain stains.
In all cases, remember to always test the application of a maintenance product on a non-visible surface of your product. Certain finishes or leather treatments may react differently from one product to another.
