Product Description
A Shirt Collar on a Zipped Closure
The Tammio combines two styles: the soft, folded shirt collar that softens the upper part of the garment, and the straight, centered zip that gives it the clean lines of a jacket. The result avoids the assertive feel of a stand-up collar while retaining a clear-cut fastening. Worn open, the collar falls into two panels that frame the torso; when closed, it remains low and leaves the neck clear, unlike a biker collar that would rise up to the chin. This is what makes the piece easy to wear in a smart setting.
An Adjustable Tab That Shapes the Silhouette
The bottom of the jacket can be adjusted with a tab: tightened, it narrows the line at the hips and blocks out drafts; loosened, it lets the garment fall straight. This adjustment changes the silhouette from one season to the next and allows you to adapt the volume to what you wear underneath. It is a functional detail inherited from work jackets, where it was used to close the garment without resorting to an elastic rib-knit hem.
Particularly Supple Leather on a Fitted Cut
The lambskin used for this model is softer than average for the collection, which is immediately noticeable: the jacket does not sit rigidly on the shoulders, but follows the body and moves with the arms without restricting them.
Two Generations, One Craft
Founded in 1972 by Jürgen Raberg, the house now known as Mauritius was built exclusively around leather garments. It was known as Gipsy until its fiftieth anniversary, which led to the change in branding. Katrin and Christian Raberg, his children, now run the company and continue its international development. Today, the house offers several lines, including 2.0 by Mauritius and deercraft, dedicated to extended sizes.
Caring for your leather
This product is made of lambskin. It is the most supple skin among the different types of leather. It is fine, soft and light, and is very easy to maintain!
The only maintenance necessary is waterproofing the material, this should be planned before the first wear of your product and regularly following the frequency with which you wear the product (if you wear it every day in rainy weather, you can repeat it up to once every one to two weeks).
