The Kelwin takes minimalism further than the other jackets in the collection: its pockets are integrated into the front seam lines and disappear completely from the outer surface. There is no visible zip, flap or welt to reveal their position. The effect on the garment is striking — all that remains is a stand-up collar, a centered straight zip and an uninterrupted leather surface, where the design relies entirely on the placement of the panels. This construction requires flawless execution, as nothing draws the eye away from the seams.

A Smooth Surface That Reveals the Construction

The leather has a smooth finish, with no visible grain: light glides over the panels and highlights their edges instead of being diffused by a texture. This choice accentuates the desired graphic effect and places demands on the quality of the construction — on such a bare surface, a wavy seam or a misaligned panel would be immediately visible. The trade-off is well known: smooth leather holds on to micro-scratches more readily than grained leather, even though the lambskin's suppleness softens most of them with wear.

A Jacket That Doesn't Commit to One Style

The complete absence of visible details makes this piece indifferent to its surroundings: it can be worn with tailored trousers or raw denim, during the week or in the evening, without ever dictating the outfit. A House Founded in 1972

Jürgen Raberg founded Raberg Ledermoden in 1972 and dedicated the company to leather clothing, a path it has never abandoned. Later becoming Gipsy, then Mauritius on its fiftieth anniversary, the house has passed through several generations of leather wardrobes without changing its profession. Katrin and Christian Raberg took over the company after their father. The house works for its own brands as well as for third-party labels, which explains the breadth of its catalogue.
