Product Description
Embroidered patches worked into the material
The Torbu's racing patches are embroidered directly into the leather, rather than heat-applied to the surface. The difference is immediately visible in the raised thread, which catches the light, and proves itself over time: a glued-on patch eventually lifts at the corners, while embroidery remains integral to the panel. Their placement — chest and sleeve — follows the traditional arrangement of racing suits, where each position had its purpose. It is the embroidery work that gives this model its value, more than its construction.
An uneven, distinctive grey
The treatment lightens the shoulders, elbows and edges, leaving a surface where the grey is never quite the same from one area to another. The result gives the impression of a jacket that has already been worn for several seasons, from the very first day. This finish is also the most forgiving in everyday use: daily marks blend into the existing contrasts instead of revealing the garment's age. Each piece has its own variations, as the treatment is applied to natural hide.
A buckle-adjustable collar
The stand-up collar is secured with a buckle rather than a snap: the adjustment is gradual, allowing you to tighten it more or less depending on the wind, whereas a snap offers only one position. When undone, the strap hangs to the side and remains visible as a construction detail. The rest of the jacket is deliberately simple — centered straight zip, length ending at the waist — so as not to compete with the embroidery and the leather finish.
The Mauritius signature
Behind the Mauritius name is a company founded in 1972 by Jürgen Raberg, specializing in leather clothing from the outset. Known as Gipsy for most of its history, it changed its signature for its fiftieth anniversary. It is now run by Katrin and Christian Raberg and distributes its collections in more than fifty countries. Its catalogue covers the entire leather wardrobe, from a short biker jacket to a long coat.
Caring for your leather
This product is made of lambskin. It is the most supple skin among the different types of leather. It is fine, soft and light, and is very easy to maintain!
The only maintenance necessary is waterproofing the material, this should be planned before the first wear of your product and regularly following the frequency with which you wear the product (if you wear it every day in rainy weather, you can repeat it up to once every one to two weeks).
You can also use a delicate neutral cream or color to nourish and revive your leather.

In all cases, remember to always test the application of a maintenance product on a non-visible surface of your product. Certain finishes or leather treatments may react differently from one product to another.
