This is a deliberately very loose fit for a relaxed and comfortable style and silhouette! It is characterized by wide and draping proportions, with shoulders that go beyond the natural line, wider and longer sleeves, and a voluminous waist. It allows for layering thick clothes underneath and gives a bold, contemporary look.

Productbeschrijving
A Shearling, Not a Lined Leather Jacket
The Xofia is made from genuine shearling: one single hide, worn with the nubuck side on the outside and the wool side on the inside. The cream lining visible at the collar and cuffs is not an added layer; it is the wool of the hide itself. This distinction is essential, as it explains the garment's insulating properties—the air is retained in the wool, in direct contact with the body, without the layer of cold air that forms between leather and a sewn-in lining.
A Camel Nubuck Exterior
The outer side has a nubuck finish, meaning it is finely sanded to achieve a velvety feel, shorter than velvet, and a matte appearance. In camel, this finish reveals the hide's natural variations and gives the surface a lively look that smooth leather cannot produce. On a piece of this size, this choice avoids the bulky effect that smooth black would create, and it is also the traditional color for this type of coat.
A Deliberately Oversized Fit
The coat is intentionally roomy: the shoulders are dropped, the volume is generous, and the shearling occupies space rather than following the body's shape. This fullness is not excessive pattern-making but a necessity—shearling is naturally thick, and a fitted cut in this material would become restrictive. The button fastening closes the front without constraining the silhouette, while leaving room for a thick knit underneath.
The Mauritius House
Founded in 1972 by Jürgen Raberg, the company built its identity around a single craft, leather clothing, which it has never left behind in order to diversify. Long known as Gipsy, it adopted the name Mauritius for its fiftieth anniversary, bringing its collections together under a shared identity. Its lines are now distributed in more than fifty countries, under the direction of Katrin and Christian Raberg. Alongside its main line, the house develops 2.0 by Mauritius, focused on leathers and textiles with streetwear influences.
