Dark khaki instead of black

The Farah retains the classic asymmetric construction in a shade that changes its feel: a dark khaki, dark enough to work as a neutral, yet colourful enough not to be confused with black. This choice meets a specific need — having a biker jacket that pairs with browns, ecrus and camels, colour families that black leather always clashes with slightly. The piece fits naturally into a wardrobe in earthy tones.

A shade that highlights the construction

On black, the cut lines are more guessed at than seen. On dark khaki, they stand out: the diagonal zip, the notched lapel line, the shoulder seams and the snaps are clearly visible. The jacket therefore appears more technical and more structured, even though the pattern is the same. This is an effect that mid-range shades consistently produce, and it particularly benefits pieces whose design is their main selling point.

A short piece, wearable all year round

The length stops at the waist and reveals the silhouette. The jacket can be worn open, with the lapels folded down, over a light-coloured top that stands out against the khaki, or zipped all the way up for a more compact line. The cut leaves room for a thin top or lightweight knitwear. The supple, lightweight lamb leather allows the lapels to fold naturally, whereas thicker leather would leave them creased for weeks. Mauritius, a leather house

The company was founded in 1972 under the name Raberg Ledermoden by Jürgen Raberg, focusing on leather clothing. After decades under the name Gipsy, it adopted the name Mauritius for its fiftieth anniversary, bringing its collections together under a single signature. It is run by Katrin and Christian Raberg and is present in more than fifty countries. The design of its models remains deliberately understated, built around the cut rather than visible detailing.
