A Squadron Spirit in an Olive Shade

The Coronado cap takes up the codes of the Top Gun aviation world with a relaxed silhouette and an easy-to-match olive shade. On the front, the embroidered wings and the “San Diego” wording provide the piece with a clear visual reference, while the washed cotton gives it a lived-in look rather than a uniform, brand-new colour.

The design continues at the back with the “North Island” embroidery, a reference to the San Diego naval base. The visor features a fine ecru strip between its layers: a discreet detail, mainly visible up close, that highlights its construction. An adjustable metal strap allows the head circumference to be adjusted; it is engraved with the Top Gun name and its winged emblem.

The US Navy’s fighter weapons school, known as TOPGUN, was established in 1969. The 1986 film Top Gun greatly popularised this world among the general public. Founded in 1996, the Top Gun brand develops clothing and accessories inspired by this aviation heritage.
