Women's Mauritius MWMabou FROSTY GREEN
Product Description
The lightest shade in the series
This version of the Mabou is treated in a pale aqua green that reveals its green undertone only in daylight. This is the color that defines the piece, well before its construction: it shifts a basic biker jacket into an entirely different, soft and spring-like register that is unexpected for this type of garment. Such a light shade requires perfectly even leather in return, as any variation in the dye bath is immediately visible.
Embroidery revealed by the shadow of the thread
The floral motifs embroidered on the shoulders and upper sleeves match the color of the leather. On such a light color, they stand out neither through contrast nor shine, but through the shadow cast by the raised thread — an effect even subtler than on the darker versions, visible only up close and under lateral lighting. The work remains the same; its perception changes completely with the brightness of the background.
A color that calls for neutral basics
A pale aqua green works with white, ecru, light grey and denim, and becomes washed out next to another pastel that would take away the little definition it has. Worn over a dark base, it becomes a striking light accent. The short cut, ending at the waist, maintains a clean line despite the softness of the shade, and the supple, lightweight lambskin falls correctly from the very first wear.
The Mauritius house
Founded in 1972 by Jürgen Raberg, the company built its business around a single trade, leather clothing, which it has never left to diversify. Long known as Gipsy, it adopted the name Mauritius for its fiftieth anniversary, bringing its collections together under a shared identity. Its lines are now distributed in more than fifty countries, under the direction of Katrin and Christian Raberg. Alongside its main line, the house develops 2.0 by Mauritius, focused on leathers and textiles with a streetwear influence.
Caring for your leather
This product is made of lambskin. It is the most supple skin among the different types of leather. It is fine, soft and light, and is very easy to maintain!
The only maintenance necessary is waterproofing the material, this should be planned before the first wear of your product and regularly following the frequency with which you wear the product (if you wear it every day in rainy weather, you can repeat it up to once every one to two weeks).
You can also use a delicate neutral cream or color to nourish and revive your leather.

In all cases, remember to always test the application of a maintenance product on a non-visible surface of your product. Certain finishes or leather treatments may react differently from one product to another.
