The Schott 519 BLACK is not just a leather jacket—it’s a piece of history reimagined for today. Made in the USA from full-grain pebbled cowhide, this midweight leather strikes the perfect balance between durability and suppleness, with a buttery feel that only improves with age. The grainy texture and full-aniline finish give it a rich, natural look that develops a unique patina over time, making each jacket one of a kind. Weighing between 2.75 and 3.25 oz, the leather is robust enough to withstand daily wear while remaining flexible and comfortable.

Inspired by the jacket Marlon Brando wore in *The Wild One*, the 519 BLACK stays true to its biker roots with an asymmetrical front zip, snap-button collar and lapels, and a belted waist with a silver buckle. The back features bi-swing panels, allowing for unrestricted movement—whether you’re riding a motorcycle or simply navigating the city. The quilted nylon lining, insulated with 3oz polyfill, provides just enough warmth for three-season wear, while the zippered cuffs and wind flaps keep the elements at bay. With a 26" back length (about 66 cm), this slim-fit jacket sits just right, offering a more tailored silhouette than Schott’s classic 613.

Caring for your leather
This product is made of cowhide leather. Whether thick and heavy or thin and light, cowhide is one of the most resistant.
Its maintenance simply involves using a cleansing milk or a delicate cream.
You will also need, as with the vast majority of leathers, to waterproof your leather once every 6 months, or more depending on its use, using a special leather aerosol product.
