In 1928 Irving Schott handed the world its first zip-front motorcycle jacket. Ninety-six years later the LCW8600 Black keeps the DNA intact—black lambskin, asymmetrical zip, snap-down lapels, zippered cuffs—yet re-cuts every seam for a silhouette that hugs rather than hangs. The result is a piece that feels as at home on a café terrace as it does on a city bike.
Lambskin: the quiet luxury of a second skin
The outer shell is full-grain lambskin, 0.9–1.1 mm thick. It is naturally supple, so it moulds to the body without losing structure, and its fine grain develops a soft sheen with wear. Because lambskin is lighter than cowhide, the jacket remains wearable from spring through autumn without bulk.
Precision tailoring for the modern rider
Schott has moved every dart and panel to create a true slim-fit. The shoulders sit cleanly, the waist is nipped in with a sewn-in belt and adjustable strap, and the sleeves taper to zippered cuffs. Three external zipped pockets—two side-entry hand pockets plus a diagonal chest pocket—keep essentials secure, while a hidden D-pocket inside the right front panel offers a discreet stash for cards or cash.
Hardware that tells a story
Silver-toned YKK zips, nickel rivets and snap buttons are polished to a mirror finish. The snaps on the lapels and shoulder epaulettes are covered in matching lambskin, so they lie flat and age gracefully. Diamond-quilted lining: warmth without weight
The polyester lining is stitched in a diamond pattern to trap a thin layer of air, providing just enough insulation for cool evenings without overheating. The same quilting extends into the sleeves, so the jacket slips on easily and never feels stiff.
Schott began in 1913 as a raincoat workshop in a New York loft. By the 1920s the brothers Irving and Jack Schott had pivoted to leather, creating the first zip-front motorcycle jacket—the Perfecto—in 1928. Worn by Marlon Brando in The Wild One and adopted by punk and rock royalty, the Perfecto became a symbol of rebellion. Today Schott still cuts every jacket in the same New Jersey factory, blending American workwear heritage with contemporary fits.

Caring for your leather
This product is made of lambskin. It is the most supple skin among the different types of leather. It is fine, soft and light, and is very easy to maintain!
The only maintenance necessary is waterproofing the material, this should be planned before the first wear of your product and regularly following the frequency with which you wear the product (if you wear it every day in rainy weather, you can repeat it up to once every one to two weeks).
