Product Description
The Schott shearling trapper hat
The BLACK CHAPKA is defined by the material that gives it its identity: double-sided sheepskin. The hide forms the black exterior, while its wool side makes up the interior; both sides belong to the same material rather than to a separate lining. This construction gives the trapper hat its naturally thick, enveloping appearance, in a black shade that is easy to pair with winter coats and jackets.
Sheepskin leather is appreciated for its supple feel. Here, its dark surface contrasts with the wool interior, visible on the folded edges. The trapper hat shape also covers the ears, making it a headwear piece designed to complement cold-weather outfits.
A button fastening, two sizes
The button fastening keeps the flaps of the trapper hat in place when you want to wear it fitted. The Schott badge identifies the model, while a label is placed at the back. These details remain understated, allowing the material to take centre stage.
The indicated circumferences are 43 cm in S/M and 46 cm in L/XL. To choose your size, compare these measurements with those of a hat that already fits you well: the trapper hat should stay in place without feeling tight, particularly around the temples.
Schott, a New York house founded in 1913
Schott Bros. was founded in New York in 1913, when brothers Irving and Jack Schott opened their first small factory in the Lower East Side. Initially focused on rainwear, the company later expanded into leather and shearling. Its history is particularly associated with American jackets, but its collection also extends to winter accessories such as this trapper hat.

Caring for your leather
This product is made of sheepskin leather. Sheep is a skin very similar to lamb. It is the age of the beast that will change the name of the leather. The leather is therefore fine, soft and light as well.
You will just need to waterproof the skin once and renew it from time to time, depending on how often you wear your leather. You can also use a delicate cream to give a new shine to your product.
