Men's Patrouille de France MA-1 ALPHA BROWN
Product Description
The MA-1 takes on the grain of lamb leather
The ALPHA BROWN MA-1 takes the signature features of a flight jacket and reworks them in brown leather: a central zip fastening, a generously sheepskin-trimmed collar and rib-knit finishes at the cuffs and waist. These close-to-the-body volumes create the bomber silhouette, while the lamb leather provides a supple feel and a softer drape than thick leather. The brown gives the jacket a more weathered look that is easier to pair with than traditionally dark flight versions.
From the removable collar to the pilot pockets
The genuine shearling collar can be removed to visually lighten the upper part of the jacket: when attached, it enhances the aviator spirit and frames the face; without it, the more open collar creates a more understated silhouette. The rib-knit trims tighten the cuffs and waist, following the classic construction of a flight jacket. Two flap side pockets hold everyday essentials, while a zipped pocket on the sleeve echoes a functional detail associated with pilot jackets.
The embroidery dedicated to Air Base 701, the Alpha Jet and the Patrouille de France, along with the sleeve patches, give the model an immediately recognisable aeronautical identity. They set this MA-1 apart from a plain bomber: the front and sleeves carry the collection’s visual story without altering the jacket’s compact shape.
Redskins and the heritage of the Patrouille de France
Founded in 1984 by Serge Aboujedid, Redskins first made a name for itself with pieces inspired by teddy jackets and bombers, before developing a wardrobe in which leather plays a central role. The ALPHA MA-1 continues this affinity with flight silhouettes through a collection associated with the Patrouille de France. The name of this aerobatic formation was adopted in 1953; the Alpha Jet joined its aircraft in 1981. The references to Air Base 701, the aircraft and the patrol embroidered on the jacket therefore point to specific landmarks from this world.
Caring for your leather
This product is made of lambskin. It is the most supple skin among the different types of leather. It is fine, soft and light, and is very easy to maintain!
The only maintenance necessary is waterproofing the material, this should be planned before the first wear of your product and regularly following the frequency with which you wear the product (if you wear it every day in rainy weather, you can repeat it up to once every one to two weeks).
You can also use a delicate neutral cream or color to nourish and revive your leather.

In all cases, remember to always test the application of a maintenance product on a non-visible surface of your product. Certain finishes or leather treatments may react differently from one product to another.
