The Mandarin collar, a refined take on the biker jacket
The MWLiliana revisits the codes of the biker jacket in a more understated version: its small Mandarin collar replaces wide lapels while maintaining a clean line around the neck. In smooth black leather, this piece focuses on a pared-back silhouette that is easy to pair without the collar taking over the outfit.
The front zip fastening and vertical zipped side pockets create discreet lines. Their arrangement keeps the front clean, while the decorative topstitching on the back highlights the construction without adding patterns or contrasts.
Supple lambskin and carefully designed sleeve details
Fine and lightweight lambskin gives the jacket a supple drape rather than a rigid appearance. Its smooth surface and black hue reinforce the minimalist approach; the material works just as well with jeans as with a more dressed-up silhouette.
At the cuffs, the zip allows the sleeve to be opened, while a press-stud tab adds a detail inspired by biker clothing. This combination brings character to an otherwise streamlined cut. The cotton lining through the body provides comfort when wearing the jacket; the sleeves are lined in polyester. Its lightweight construction is better suited to mid-season wear or layering than to providing substantial warmth.
Mauritius, a German brand founded in 1972
Mauritius originated in northern Germany, where Jürgen Raberg launched the project for a brand specialising in leather fashion in 1972. The company grew around this expertise, with collections that revisit classic leather jacket shapes through contemporary lines. The MWLiliana illustrates this approach with a biker jacket reduced to the essentials, where the Mandarin collar replaces the more elaborate traditional details.
Caring for your leather
This product is made of lambskin. It is the most supple skin among the different types of leather. It is fine, soft and light, and is very easy to maintain!
The only maintenance necessary is waterproofing the material, this should be planned before the first wear of your product and regularly following the frequency with which you wear the product (if you wear it every day in rainy weather, you can repeat it up to once every one to two weeks).
