Women's Mauritius MWCharlott BLACK
Product Description
A double closure that blocks the front
The Charlott combines two systems across the entire front: a central zip, followed by a row of press studs that covers it. This is not decorative redundancy. On a long garment, the front is the line through which air gets in, and a simple zip always lets a draft pass along the slider. The press-stud placket seals this opening and noticeably improves the parka's comfort in windy weather, which alone justifies this construction.
A drawstring waist that creates two silhouettes
A drawstring allows you to tighten the garment at the waist or let it fall straight. On a mid-length parka, this adjustment is what prevents a baggy effect: tightened, it defines the waist and restores shape to the garment; loosened, it allows the leather to fall straight from the shoulders to the hem. This lets you switch from a structured silhouette to a fluid one without changing anything else, depending on what you are wearing underneath and the time of day.
A length that provides coverage without adding weight
The parka falls below the hips, protecting the lower back and improving comfort outdoors. The lambskin is decisive here: over such a large surface, a thick hide would make the garment heavy to wear all day, whereas lambskin keeps the weight reasonable on the shoulders. Its suppleness is most noticeable when walking, as the lower part follows your movements instead of remaining rigid, while the zipped stand-up collar closes the upper part without adding bulk.
Mauritius, heir to Raberg Ledermoden
The company was founded in 1972 by Jürgen Raberg under the name Raberg Ledermoden, before becoming Gipsy and then, for its fiftieth anniversary, Mauritius. This name change accompanied the consolidation of its various lines under a single identity. Today managed by Katrin and Christian Raberg, it distributes its leather clothing collections in more than fifty countries. Its former name remains associated with decades of leather jackets in the European market.
Caring for your leather
This product is made of lambskin. It is the most supple skin among the different types of leather. It is fine, soft and light, and is very easy to maintain!
The only maintenance necessary is waterproofing the material, this should be planned before the first wear of your product and regularly following the frequency with which you wear the product (if you wear it every day in rainy weather, you can repeat it up to once every one to two weeks).
You can also use a delicate neutral cream or color to nourish and revive your leather.

In all cases, remember to always test the application of a maintenance product on a non-visible surface of your product. Certain finishes or leather treatments may react differently from one product to another.
