Product Description
A length that falls over the hip
The jacket stops noticeably lower than a short jacket: its cut covers the hip and protects the lower back, which makes a real difference to comfort outdoors. This intermediate length is also the easiest to wear — it does not compress the silhouette like a long piece and does not leave the lower body exposed like a waist-length jacket. The cut remains straight, without shaping, and the central zip runs uninterrupted from the hem to the collar.
Vertical pockets integrated into the panels
The pockets open vertically within the front panel lines rather than being applied on the surface. The difference is visible: no added piece interrupts the leather, leaving the front as one continuous surface. The difference can also be felt, as the vertical opening naturally falls beneath the hand when the arms hang down. The soft, lightweight lambskin prevents the extra length from making the jacket feel heavy on the shoulders.
Mauritius, from the Gipsy name to today
The story began in 1972, when Jürgen Raberg founded Raberg Ledermoden to produce leather clothing. The brand developed under the name Gipsy for decades before becoming Mauritius on its fiftieth anniversary. The second generation, Katrin and Christian Raberg, has continued to expand the company internationally, with a presence in more than fifty countries. The name change did not alter its expertise: the company produces leather clothing exclusively.
Caring for your leather
This product is made of lambskin. It is the most supple skin among the different types of leather. It is fine, soft and light, and is very easy to maintain!
The only maintenance necessary is waterproofing the material, this should be planned before the first wear of your product and regularly following the frequency with which you wear the product (if you wear it every day in rainy weather, you can repeat it up to once every one to two weeks).
