Men's Mauritius MMBounto BLACK
Product Description
A streamlined jacket
The Bounto is defined entirely by a slightly raised round collar, a straight centered zip and two zipped chest pockets. There is no lower pocket, no fastening tab and no yoke: the leather surface remains uninterrupted from collar to hem. This pared-back approach is a costly choice, because it leaves nothing to hide an imprecise seam or a poorly cut panel — everything is visible. In return, the jacket bears no period-specific markers and does not age in one direction or the other.
A silhouette defined by its lines
The two chest pockets are positioned high, integrated into the front panels, and form two horizontal segments that balance the vertical zip. This is the garment's only visual rhythm. The cut follows the body closely and ends at the waist, preserving a long leg line and avoiding the compressed effect of a jacket that sits too low. When closed, the raised collar extends the vertical line up to the chin; when open, it breaks the line and reveals the neckline.
A versatile black
The absence of visible detailing makes this jacket difficult to place: it works with raw denim just as well as with tailored trousers, on weekdays as well as in the evening, without ever imposing a particular style on the outfit. The supple, lightweight lambskin can be worn from the very first outing without the break-in period required by heavier hides, and follows the movement of the arms without restricting the armholes. This is a wardrobe staple — the one you reach for without thinking, precisely because it does not dictate anything.
Two generations, one craft
Founded in 1972 by Jürgen Raberg, the house now known as Mauritius built its reputation exclusively on leather clothing. It was known as Gipsy until its fiftieth anniversary, which marked the change of name. Katrin and Christian Raberg, his children, now run the company and continue its international development. Today, the house offers several lines, including 2.0 by Mauritius and deercraft, dedicated to extended sizes.
Caring for your leather
This product is made of lambskin. It is the most supple skin among the different types of leather. It is fine, soft and light, and is very easy to maintain!
The only maintenance necessary is waterproofing the material, this should be planned before the first wear of your product and regularly following the frequency with which you wear the product (if you wear it every day in rainy weather, you can repeat it up to once every one to two weeks).
You can also use a delicate neutral cream or color to nourish and revive your leather.

In all cases, remember to always test the application of a maintenance product on a non-visible surface of your product. Certain finishes or leather treatments may react differently from one product to another.
