Product Description
Studding that covers rather than highlights
Most studded jackets feature a few rows of studs on the lapels or shoulders. The Giljana takes the opposite approach: the studs cover the entire body of the jacket, in regular lines that follow the direction of the panels. The transformation is complete — the leather becomes a support, while the metallic pattern creates the texture, visual weight and the way light behaves on the garment, sparkling as it moves instead of reflecting a flat surface.
A recognisable biker base beneath the metal
Under the studs, the construction remains unchanged: an asymmetrical zip offset to the side, notched lapels that fold back, and a cropped length ending at the waist. It is this immediately recognisable foundation that allows such a highly detailed piece to remain a garment rather than becoming a costume. Without it, all-over studding would have nothing to anchor it to. The balance relies precisely on the fact that the shape itself remains perfectly classic.
A piece that dictates the outfit
There is no halfway measure with a jacket covered in studs: it carries the outfit, and everything else must fade into the background. Raw denim, black trousers, a simple dress, plain knitwear — nothing with a pattern, shine or bold colour. Worn open, it reveals the outfit between two metallic bands; closed, it becomes a continuous surface. The lightweight lambskin partly offsets the extra weight of the studs, while the cropped length prevents the metallic mass from pulling on the shoulders.
Mauritius, heir to Raberg Ledermoden
The company was founded in 1972 by Jürgen Raberg under the name Raberg Ledermoden, before becoming Gipsy and then, for its fiftieth anniversary, Mauritius. This name change accompanied the consolidation of its various lines under a single identity. Today managed by Katrin and Christian Raberg, the company distributes its leather clothing collections in more than fifty countries. Its former name remains associated with decades of leather jackets in the European market.
Caring for your leather
This product is made of lambskin. It is the most supple skin among the different types of leather. It is fine, soft and light, and is very easy to maintain!
The only maintenance necessary is waterproofing the material, this should be planned before the first wear of your product and regularly following the frequency with which you wear the product (if you wear it every day in rainy weather, you can repeat it up to once every one to two weeks).
You can also use a delicate neutral cream or color to nourish and revive your leather.

In all cases, remember to always test the application of a maintenance product on a non-visible surface of your product. Certain finishes or leather treatments may react differently from one product to another.
