A piece suited to every situation
The leather has a smooth, matte finish: light glides over the panels and highlights the edges of the cuts rather than a texture. This finish requires an even hide and precise craftsmanship, since nothing draws the eye away from the seams. The jacket can be worn with jeans, dress trousers, a dress or a skirt, during the day or in the evening: it does not steer the outfit in any particular direction, which is exactly what is expected of a foundation piece. The soft, lightweight lambskin falls properly from the very first outing.
A specialization that has never been abandoned
Since its foundation in 1972 by Jürgen Raberg, the company that became Mauritius has worked with just one main material, leather, and one category, clothing. Its name change, from the historic Gipsy to the current Mauritius, marked its fifty years of existence. Katrin and Christian Raberg now run the family business. This focus on a single craft explains the breadth of the collections, which cover jackets, coats and outerwear within the same season.

This product is made of lambskin. It is the most supple skin among the different types of leather. It is fine, soft and light, and is very easy to maintain!
The only maintenance necessary is waterproofing the material, this should be planned before the first wear of your product and regularly following the frequency with which you wear the product (if you wear it every day in rainy weather, you can repeat it up to once every one to two weeks).
