Navy blue enhanced by Coronado insignia

This Top Gun cap focuses on a precise aeronautical identity rather than a single oversized logo. On the navy blue cotton with a faded finish, the embroidered U.S. Navy wings on the front are accompanied by the words “San Diego”. The overall design evokes Coronado, a place associated with the history of naval aviation, while the dark shade remains easy to incorporate into everyday outfits.

Embroidered details throughout

The design continues at the back with the embroidered words “North Island”. The visor features a subtle ecru insert between its layers: a contrast visible up close that highlights its construction without distracting from the insignia. At the back, an adjustable strap with a metal clasp allows the cap to be adapted to the wearer’s head circumference.

An accessory rooted in the Top Gun legacy

The Top Gun brand, founded in Queens in 1996, draws inspiration from military clothing and the US Navy’s fighter weapons school. The latter, known as TOPGUN, was established in 1969 to further develop aerial combat training; the film released in 1986 subsequently popularized its name with the general public. This cap captures that imagery through its embroidered references to naval aviation.
