Productbeschrijving
A jogger silhouette made in leather
Tamika transposes the construction of jogger trousers into lambskin: an elasticated waist tightened with a drawstring, open Italian pockets inserted into the sides, and a leg that tapers towards the ankle. The contrast between a shape associated with comfort and a material associated with structure is what makes the piece so appealing. It wears like a supple pair of trousers but holds its shape like a structured garment, allowing it to exist outside the sportswear category from which it borrows its cut.
Supple leather that makes all the difference
When it comes to trousers, the choice of leather is not unrestricted: a thick hide restricts movement at the knees and hips, making the garment unwearable after an hour. The lambskin used here remains supple enough to sit, walk and climb stairs without resistance. This constraint explains why successful leather trousers are rare, and why lambskin is more or less the only leather suited to this particular design.
A leg that tapers towards the ankle
The lower leg gradually narrows, avoiding the ballooning effect that a straight cut would create beneath an elasticated waist. The silhouette remains clean, and the trousers work with ankle boots, low-top sneakers or pumps, depending on the desired look. The elasticated waist is adjusted with a drawstring, making it possible to secure the trousers without a belt and wear them under a tucked-in or loose top.
Mauritius, fifty years of leather clothing
The company was founded in 1972 under the name Raberg Ledermoden by Jürgen Raberg, focusing exclusively on leather clothing. It grew under the name Gipsy before adopting Mauritius for its fiftieth anniversary, a change that brought previously distinct lines together under a single signature. The company is now run by Katrin and Christian Raberg, the second generation of the founding family. Its collections are distributed in more than fifty countries, and the company produces for both its own brands and third-party labels.
Zorg voor uw leer
This product is made of lambskin. It is the most supple skin among the different types of leather. It is fine, soft and light, and is very easy to maintain!
The only maintenance necessary is waterproofing the material, this should be planned before the first wear of your product and regularly following the frequency with which you wear the product (if you wear it every day in rainy weather, you can repeat it up to once every one to two weeks).
You can also use a delicate neutral cream or color to nourish and revive your leather.
