Removing the collar changes the entire style
The Lerissa removes the feature that links almost all leather jackets to biker wear: the collar. The neckline is round, cleanly finished and completely exposes the neck. This single change shifts the piece towards a smart cropped jacket and opens up possibilities that a high collar does not allow — wearing a scarf without layering at the neck, showing off a roll-neck sweater, or leaving a necklace visible. On the silhouette, the effect is clear: the neckline remains visible, and the garment starts at the base of the shoulders instead of rising towards the chin.
A waist defined by the cut, not by a belt
The front and back panels draw the garment in at the waist without any added element: no belt, tab or drawstring. The silhouette is created entirely through the pattern. The straight, centred zip extends the vertical line and complements this fitted shape, whereas an asymmetrical fastening would break the axis. The whole piece reads as one continuous line, from the neckline to the hem, which is what gives it its graphic character.
A piece to wear from the office to the evening
The collarless design, fitted waist and unembellished leather surface place this jacket in a category that few leather pieces achieve: it works with a dress, fluid trousers or a straight skirt, just as well during the day as in the evening. The supple, lightweight lambskin follows the waist without forming creases at the panels, which rigid leather would not allow on such a fitted cut. It falls perfectly from the very first outing.
Two generations, one profession
Founded in 1972 by Jürgen Raberg, the house now known as Mauritius was built exclusively around leather clothing. It was known as Gipsy until its fiftieth anniversary, which led to the change of name. Katrin and Christian Raberg, his children, now run the company and continue its international development. Today, the house offers several lines, including 2.0 by Mauritius and deercraft, which specialises in larger sizes.

This product is made of lambskin. It is the most supple skin among the different types of leather. It is fine, soft and light, and is very easy to maintain!
The only maintenance necessary is waterproofing the material, this should be planned before the first wear of your product and regularly following the frequency with which you wear the product (if you wear it every day in rainy weather, you can repeat it up to once every one to two weeks).
