The high-top sneaker that plays with contrasts

With its brown canvas and metallic stars, the VINZ puts a twist on the conventions of the classic canvas sneaker. The earthy shade provides a subdued base for the shoe, while the shiny motifs catch the eye without imposing an all-over print. Its high-top design creates a more visible line around the ankle than a low-top sneaker and enhances its casual look.

The lacing runs across the upper to adjust the foot’s support and highlights the construction inspired by canvas sports shoes. The vulcanized sole, characteristic of this family of sneakers, creates a clean visual connection between the upper and the ground.

Canvas that is easy to incorporate into everyday outfits

Brown naturally pairs with blue or raw denim, beige chinos and pieces in ecru or khaki tones. The metallic stars introduce a more pronounced shine: they add depth to a simple outfit without requiring any other shiny accessories. The VINZ is therefore suited to a casual wardrobe that prefers a graphic detail over a large logo.

The high-top design works just as well with straight-leg trousers resting on the shoe as with slightly cropped bottoms, which reveal more of the canvas and motifs. It makes a bolder statement than a low-top sneaker while retaining the visual lightness typical of a textile shoe.

Von Dutch, from Kustom Kulture to fashion

The name Von Dutch refers to Kenny Howard, an American artist associated with Kustom Kulture and known for pinstriping, the fine decorative lines painted on vehicles. The brand went on to establish itself in fashion in the early 2000s, notably with Christian Audigier at the helm of its creative direction, transferring the imagery of automotive customization into a streetwear wardrobe.
