A Cognac Derby That Adds Some Height

The WATERLOO stands out with a classic derby silhouette, reinterpreted with a more substantial lugged sole than a slim dress shoe sole. The round toe softens the design, while the sole’s raised profile gives the shoe more character. The lacing allows you to adjust the fit across the instep, while the 2 cm flat heel maintains a close-to-the-ground look.

This construction makes it a less formal dress shoe than a model with a smooth sole, without moving it into sneaker territory. It pairs just as well with chino trousers as with straight-leg jeans, and can balance an outfit consisting of smart trousers and a simple knit.

Cognac, an Easy-to-Match Shade

The cowhide leather comes in a warm cognac tone, giving the shoe depth and naturally complementing blues, greys and beiges. Compared with black, this shade adds a less strict note to city outfits; with raw denim or navy chinos, it creates a clear contrast without drawing excessive attention.

The lugged sole enhances the WATERLOO’s casual look. It is a relevant choice if you are looking for a pair of lace-up shoes that remains polished, while its design appears less classic than a derby with a slim sole.

Redskins, a Brand Built Around Leather

Founded in 1984 by Serge Aboujedid, Redskins first became known for its leather teddy jackets and bomber jackets. The brand then expanded its wardrobe to include other pieces and footwear, while retaining an urban, masculine style. The WATERLOO brings this aesthetic to a casual-profile dress shoe.
